Let me explain. This week my daughter {still weird to say cause she’s so fresh} started solid foods. Some new flavors have been well received; others, like peas, not so much. (I can’t say I blame her. At all. Peas are gross. Feel free to disagree, but you’re wrong.)

Still, spoonful after spoonful, she opens her mouth hoping it will get better. At some point it has to… right? Not always. Not with peas.

Her eternal optimism is inspiring. She still engages in the process and gives it her best effort. Sometimes we run into peas at work. You can hope they get better, but for whatever reason you weren’t predisposed to work well together. Still, we have to put our strongest effort in each interaction. At the end of the day, work to be able to say you did your best work and the job got done.
