Wow! What a weekend with Annie F. Downs! The maddjett team came alongside our great friend and author to produce and execute the Annie F. Downs Looking for Lovely Weekend, a multi-day event centered around Annie’s newest book Looking for Lovely. The event was created as a unique way for Annie to engage with her fans while sharing some of her favorite local Nashville stops.

When we sat down with Annie back in December and began dreaming about this event our wheels began spinning, which led to ideas and action. From securing sponsors like FashionABLE, Compassion International and Glory Haus, to selecting venues, to securing donations from local businesses like Christie Cookies, Goo Goo Clusters, The Juice Bar and more, we sought to make decisions that would leave a lasting mark on each and every guest.

The weekend began Friday evening with some delicious, Nashville BBQ for dinner. Attendees were then treated to the music of up and coming country trio, Post Monroe, worship led by Dove Award winner, Meredith Andrews, some great stories about Annie growing up told by her father, Tom Downs, and then an impactful talk given by Annie herself.

On Saturday, guests had a chance to experience some of the local gems that Nashville has to offer, many of which are mentioned in Looking for Lovely. Stops on the tour included Radnor Lake State Park, a b.fab workout, shopping with FashinABLE, lunch at the Sutler, hang time in the 12 South neighborhood, and some exploration of downtown Nashville. The day was capped off for VIP guests with a meet & greet and concert at Ryman Auditorium with Grammy nominated singer / songwriter Dave Barnes. Needless to say, it was hot, exhausting and incredible experience for all.

Getting to witness first hand the tribe that Annie has created and hear some of their stories made the whole thing worth it. We are so proud of the event and of Annie for allowing the maddjett team to partner with her and impact the lives of these guests!
