Hunter Hayes 24 Hour Road Race

24 Hours
11 Official Rules
10 Shows
1 Guinness World Record

During the week of the release of his sophomore record, Hunter Hayes teamed up with ConAgra Foods to end child hunger while attempting to break the Guinness World Record for the “Most Concerts Played in multiple cities in a 24-hour period.” Hunter kicked off the 24 Hour Road Race to End Child Hunger May 9 on Good Morning America in New York City. Immediately following that performance, he jumped in a plane with his band, family and crew to travel to Boston. From there, Hunter and his growing entourage managed to drive to and perform at eight additional venues. With official Guinness representatives on hand for verification purposes, Hunter successfully managed to play 10 shows in 24 hours to snag the record from the Flaming Lips.

We are honored to say, that with the help of an amazing team, we coordinated this effort. From securing sponsors, travel arrangements and venues to identifying messaging, promotional opportunites, partners and more… this event became a record-breaking reality (and we have a 100 page document to prove it)!

In addition to Hunter’s incredible accomplishment, we are also proud to share that ConAgra Foods helped Feeding America (the nation’s leading domestic hunger-relief charity working to feed America’s hungry through a nationwide network of member food banks) break their record for the most meals donated in a day. Thanks to the efforts of Hunter and his supportive fans, thousands of Americans in need received food for their families.

Lessons Learned: When someone approaches you and says – “I want to break a World Record” – don’t say no. Ask how you can help, surround yourself with incredible people and never listen to the naysayers. Also, enjoy sleep anywhere & anytime you can get it! (It is no easy feat to stay up for 24 hours straight.)
